Material is a gallery /bookshop based in Ludlow (Shropshire) and London (Shoreditch). We sell beautiful prints and artwork designed by artists from all over the world, working a myriad of disciplines including giclŽe prints, silkscreen prints, letterpress, furniture making, product design, and interiors. We also sell books concerned with design and aesthetics (in subjects such as Graphic Design, Typography, illustration, fashion, architecture, photography, furniture /product design).

It’s true – our Rivington Street shop is running on time and we are confident that we will be open next week! Yes, we really will. As many of you know we have been closed since the beginning of the year, we have moved (next door) and have been beavering away, with the help of many making the shop new and sparkly (sort of). The front is done. Electrics to be done (Monday), just a few bits and bobs to be finished and drilled then we will open our door on Thursday 2nd February (hopefully), with the proper launch the week after. Check out our new frontage, especially the beautiful door handles acquired from the lovely people at Ludlow Period House shop.

We have lots of new and exciting products to tell you about and a few things planned for the launch, including an exhibition of the work of illustrator Marcus Walters. More information to come very soon. Well, as soon as we have something good inside to photograph!
