Material is a gallery /bookshop based in Ludlow (Shropshire) and London (Shoreditch). We sell beautiful prints and artwork designed by artists from all over the world, working a myriad of disciplines including giclŽe prints, silkscreen prints, letterpress, furniture making, product design, and interiors. We also sell books concerned with design and aesthetics (in subjects such as Graphic Design, Typography, illustration, fashion, architecture, photography, furniture /product design).

A graduate of Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design, London, Marcus Walters is an illustrator and designer based in the UK, who works across a variety of media including collage, drawing and screen printing. Much of his artwork is created by hand resulting in images that are simple and enduring. Marcus is also co-founder of graphic design studio, New Future Graphic, to which he often brings his optimistic and illustrative approach to graphic design.

His commercial client list includes Honda, BBC, Uniqlo, Levis, Coca-Cola, Yellow Pages, Amnesty, Fairtrade Foundation, Strada, Royal Mail , Orange, Innocent Smoothies, Waterstones and various publications worldwide including Monocle, New York Times and O Magazine.
